The Trials of Rudwin - the neverending story...

 Neverending in that I just don't seem to be able to finish this book...
  I don't know how long I have been writing this story - there must be two decades behind it.

  Of course I have been distracted.

  I have written other books.

  I have maintained a Youtube channel.

  I have my job.

  I find it almost impossible to just focus on one project.

  Thinking about it I know what it is that keeps tripping me up - and holding me back.

  Lack of focus.

  A lack of focus is my primary problem...

  I am working on to many things.

  Maybe I should just abandon some of my other projects and concentrate solely on the book.

  Maybe then I would find the ability to finish the final words and close the final page on the final chapter.

  I have a clear vision for the book.  

  I know where I am going with it.  I know how it ends.  

  I never wanted the work to be a long series - just one book, finish off the tales of all those characters, Rudwin and Hobbleweed and Bolderdof and the Elurger.

  Maybe I am suppose to take the book slowly.  

  Maybe some new ideas will flow to me in the following months.

  Or maybe I should just give up, turn the Macintosh off and walk away.

 Maybe the work is not meant to be.

  But I don't think so.

  Why?

  Because i do dream about the book.

  Yes indeed many a dream I have seen the finished book on the shelf or a table of many a phantom hall, hiding in the deep depths of the mind,

  Maybe I will just hack it out, to whatever end lies ahead of me.
